Who are we?

The Association for Size Diversity and Health (ASDAH) is an international professional organization started in 2003.  We are an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization, whose members and leaders are committed to the principles of Health At Every Size (HAES).

The HAES (Health at Every Size) movement is a continuously evolving alternative to the weight-centered approach to treating clients and patients of all sizes. It is also a movement working to promote size acceptance, to end weight discrimination, and to lessen the cultural obsession with weight loss and thinness.  More information about HAES will soon be found on our Science of HAES and Links pages.

Membership & Leadership

You can learn more about how and why to become an ASDAH member on the Membership page, and about our Board of Directors and Regulations/Bylaws on the Leadership page.
